Welcome Message from the SBA Chairman

Dear Colleagues,

As a SBA Chairman, it is a pleasure for me to welcome you the 1^st Somali Banking and Finance Conference which will be held from 29^{th –}30^nd September 2024 in the Capital City of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mogadishu.

The Somali Banking and Finance Conference is an annual conference organized by the Somali Bankers Association (SBA), The two day event will host more than 200 national and international participants, key government stakeholders, directors and officers from SBA members, policy makers, bankers, financial service providers, insurance companies, technology providers, microfinance institutions, fintech & mobile banking entities, academicians, and many more to discuss and set a strategic road map for Somalia’s fast growing Islamic banking and finance sector.

On behalf of Somali Bankers Association Management, I am honored and delighted to welcome you to the 2nd Somali Banking and Finance Conference focusing The Future of Finance – Transforming Somalia’s Financial Landscape. at Jazeera Hotel, Mogadishu, Somalia.

The conference will be an important platform for discussions on diverse finance themes such as banking and insurance, capital markets and Islamic banking, corporate governance and corporate finance, econometrics and financial modeling, SME finance and economics.

SBA organizes trainings, seminars, events, meetings, forums and conferences to increase the awareness of the banking sector and research-based industry solutions to promote banking products and services in Somalia as well as connecting our banks into the financial systems of the World.
